This season Messi has proved his incredible talent to be greater than any other I have ever seen. I was lucky enough to see George Best, Cruyff and Maradona the three greatest players pre Messi. Ronaldo is without doubt an excellent player, dead ball specialist, quick, strong and deadly finisher, but Messi has so much more to his game, much more of a team player, yet individual skill that I believe is unmatched.

And as regard an argument; people I talk with from all footballing walks of life, Spain and Manchester amongst them, they do not see an argument-Messi.

But the debate will go on.
